Young & Athletic
Since we were eliminated I have read endless Trade Scenarios. Most of the Trade proposals, clearly benefit the Celtics, with little upside for the Trading Partner.
Right now if we stand pat; we will win 45-50 games next year and end up between the 4th-6th seed in the East.
An early Playoff Exit is logical.
What should Danny do? Clearly the strategy to bring in aging veterans hasn't worked. Rasheed, Shaq, JO and Marbury, etc. all failed.
During this same period we gave up on Bill Walker, Tony Allen, Semih Erden and Luke Harangody. Is Avery Bradley the next promising young player we cast aside?
Look at the 1974 Team that won the title; Cowens was 25, White was 27, Chaney 28, Westphal 23. All four were Celtic #1 Picks.
How about the 1981 Team? Bird was 24, McHale 23, Maxwell 25; again all #1 Picks.
Let's build this Team through the Draft. Yes add some young Free Agents, but the "big 3" should be the only players on our roster next year North of 30 years old.
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

we are in trouble this year
the best player we drafted in the past 4 years is an undersized nonathletic powerfoward who wants a starting job.. jeff green and rondo are our only young potential we have and probly our best trade bait…but rondo is going to stay and green will get resigned
wihich leaves us with glen baby davis as our only trade option the question is who wants him?
MLE
bigbaby
what can we do?
agreed
I think that if we take this posts logic, then we could try to get another first round pick (this year), for Big Baby. I team in the lottery could see value in getting BB w/ a draft pick in 2012. Can’t forget that the Cavs have the #1 and #4 picks and might be looking to trade that #4 for some actual proven players.

baby
I could see a lot of teams wanting him
Forget the sour end of the season, Baby playing at his best (the start of this season) was a very good player. He could come off the bench and spread the floor, be a decent post player, decent defender (although has a few lapses) draw a couple of charges which could completely change the momentum of a game and get his team playing with more energy and he is a good finisher and is crafty around the rim.
Most of all, he has championship experience. Why wouldn’t a team want him as a sixth man
i think teams will want him, just not for what he thinks he's worth.
he thinks he’s a starter and should get starters pay. not going to happen. i could see him getting $7m by a team with cap space maybe….

It's remarkable how the perceptions of Glen Davis vary, even among fans that see him play every game.
I personally think his time in Boston should be over because you simply cannot discount his poor performance in the playoffs and his weight gain through the season. Yes, he is very good, at times, but if he wants to be a great player he has to be more consistent and also have a more even temperment.
Davis
Trade him for 2nd round pick maybe 6’7" shooting guard any ideas anyone …..just get rid of him.
Ok, ignore the other 'confused' answers
I think our GM, President, etc. are crazy since when we get good back-ups, they get traded(like the ones you mentioned above). Mabye the NBA is just rigged that much???
