Michael Beasley trade?

Could Michael Beasley help the Boston Celtics get banner 18? He is a strong offensive and a average defender. He can get the rebounds and put it back up. I think that the Celtics should make a trade for him because he is a young talent that can be taught by Kevin Garnett and become a even better star. This year he is set to make 6.2 million dollars, which is a pretty cheap for a player of his caliber. The thing that might make the Celtics worried is his off-court issues. Recently he got in a lot of trouble for Marijuana. But I think that if he comes to the Celtics, he would change. Look how Delonte West changed after he came back to Boston. He was arrested for possession of guns. He matured. Also look at Nate Robinson and how much he matured after he was traded here to Boston. The trade can go like this, the Wolves trade Beasley (6.2 mil- 1 year left on contract) and Wesley Johnson (4 mil this year- 4 years left on contract) for Glen Davis ( Sign and Trade), Jermaine O'neil ( 6.2 mil- 1 year left on contract) and Troy Murphy ( Sign and Trade). We would also get Wesley Johnson who will be the back-up for KG at the 4 if Beasley plays the 5 or the back-up for Pierce and Jeff Green will be the back-up for KG. We would get a Young PF/C in Beasley and a young SF/PF in Johnson. Thank you for reading, tell me what you think.

Regardless of whether the Celtics would do that trade...

… why would the Twolves give up Beasley and Johnson for BBD, JO, and Murphy? That seems like pretty poor value for them.

actually..

I love Beasley.. and Wes.. but the Wolves aint dumb enough to give up their future for BigBaby and Troy Muprhpy (exclude JO.. damn he’s our only center, and has a big role on this team).. also, we give up 2-3 centers for a SMALL FORWARD. putting Beasley on Center, is like putting an explosive paul pierce at center.. sorry, but thats a TP backwards.

But a BigBaby (and mby a guy like Troy, or some draft picks, NOT the top ten pick next year) sign and trade for Wesley Johnson makes my heart beat faster. Because we need a SG to fill the hole after Ray retires. Wesley can also play the 3. He’s talented enough to become a star, and with the help from the big4 and Doc.. wow, this kid is gonna be the bomb.

The conclusion is: Sign and trade BBD, Troy Murphy and a first round pick and a second round (NOT including the top ten pick for next year.. we need that to possibly choose a Center if dwight gets traded, and wont sign with the C’s..)

Beasley is great, but Wesley is a guy we need more..
Heck, a future starting line up like this is championship coming:

Rondo
Johnson
Green
JaJuan?
Dwight

If we can get Beasley for BBD and draft picks why not?

If we can get Beasley for 3-4 draft picks and BBD why not? the money might not match up but Beasley is way better than Davis. We can better like this.
Rondo
Johnson
Green
Beasley
Dwight
Beasley can teach JJ to be better and he might the starter after him

Beasley an average defender?

Shaq and Rondo are average free throw shooters the, plus you can’t assume that if he gets to Boston all his troubles will just vanish, Delonte and Nate were both willing to change and accepted smaller roles.

Beasley is a very good offensive player on a bad team. He is a high volume shooter. Plays little defense. Bad attitude…probably on meds for his depression. He will not be option 1 or 2..maybe not even 3 with the Celtics..that might lead to another suicide scare like in Miami. If this guy doesn’t mature up, he will be out of the league in a few years.

btw..

.. its typical danny to gamble and trade away the top ten protected draft pick for next year..

Celtics receive: B-Easy
T’Wolves receive: Draft pick..

hmm…

KG back to Minnesota Please!

I know it would be a stupid for us, but it’ll be exciting for the whole boring league!!! Then T-Mac will go back to Orlando, Carter to Toronto….. uh, if he doesn’t break his back on the way

Its all about money, its all about Banner 18

well,

i would do it for Anthony Randolph, Michael Beasley, Wesley Johnson, Kevin Love, Ricky Rubio, and their arena. also add the city of Minneapolis.. while we’re at it, we could add johnny flynn, to backup rondo, then its a deal..

playin, NO WAY. Kevin Garnett should retire a Celtic. If we trade him, we would break up the core, and also, it would impact our overall defense, in a baad way. its also dumb for both teams (i dont know if you were kidding.. but there’s many who wants to trade KG back to minny..soo) why would Boston break up their core? why would the Wolves trade away their future, for a part of their past?

Minnesota’s future is Love, Williams, and Rubio (if he doesn’t flop). Beasley is not in their long term plans. He is a guy that will probably bounce around the league.

@KP43

Not really, KG should retire as a Timberwolve, where he flourished as a star. Yes KG got a ring here, but his true career was at Minnesota, where he was called ‘The Franchise’ of Minnesota.
