Guy who Lakers traded for Gasol = Murderer
http://www.ajc.com/news/atlanta/former-georgia-tech-star-1146197.html
The fact that Jerry West (aka gives the Lakers 2 rings with this trade) enabled the Lakers to get Pau Gasol in exchange for this mother f'r of a player who is now going to jail for murdering a woman is unfrickinbelievable. the fact that this trade was EVER ALLOWED by David Stern's office is unfrickinbelievable. The fact that this is the same dude who got into it with guns with Gilbert Arenas is unfrickingbelievable. The Lakers are the luckiest, most BS franchise in the sport of basketball and the fact that they landed Gasol for THIS GUY is UNF*CKING REAL.
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

Don't really understand the reasoning for this post
Is this a reaction to the allegations against Javaris Crittenton?
by Zak B on Aug 27, 2011 2:30 AM EDT via mobile reply actions
Javaris was not a meaningful part of the trade for either party
Javaris was just change, no one believed he was going to contribute. Kwame Brown and Marc Gasol were much bigger pieces and the money saved was the #1 reason.
Presumption of innocence...
Most folks don’t get this concept anymore.
You`re talking about a court of law...
There is also the court of public opinion
It is in the NBA's best interest for LA to be good
Just like it is in the MLB’s best interest for the Yankees to be good. The trade was laughably lopsided. To be fair, it allowed the Grizz to land Marc Gasol who was instrumental in their playoff run. So it isn’t that lopsided when you account for the other Gasol they got to draft as a result of the save.
But yeah, a trade that makes the Lakers or Knicks better is always going to be approved by the league, because the league makes more money that way. Not surprised at all. Annoyed a bit, but not surprised.
Sometimes glass glitters more than diamonds because it has more to prove.
Well, how often does Stern not allow a trade to go through?
It seemed lopsided as hell obviously, but look at how he let the Mavs get Caron Butler, Stevenson and Haywood for nothing. And the Grizzlies were able to overpay Rudy Gay, overpay Zach Randolph who looks like he didn’t change like everyone thought, but Marc Gasol is a future all-star. He’s a legitimate 7’1, 265, only 26 years old and if he got more touches he’d be a real FORCE. The Lakers would rather have him than Bynum, and he’s as good as Bogut with a higher ceiling since he’s never been hurt. The only center who’s better is Howard.
Remember the Lakers traded Caron Butler for Kwame Brown. I believe Stern likes when teams do shady stuff to stack stars. Look at how Boston, Dallas, Miami, the Knicks, Lakers always seem like they’ll be one trade away from being a championship team on paper. The Yankees are showing how inept they truly are now(A-Rod makes 32 million a year until he’s 41 or 42 years old while he’s in decline big time.) And look at Burnett!
