Free Agent Upgrades

The Celtics are righting the ship. Pierce has come back strong. We finally got good play from Jermaine and KG and things only get better with Pietrus coming soon.

We still have a big hole at the center position. Jermaine will play inconsitent ball and will be a constant threat of being injured. Stiemsma is playing well but if Jermaine goes down I'm not confident with Greg as a starter. This brings up the question;

Why didn't the Celtics go after the available FA centers? Kyrylo Fesenko would have been a great get and he is trying his best to sign anywhere for the minimum. Alexis Ajinca signed in France because no one wanted him. Could there be a handshake deal with Joel Przybilla that we don't know about? I still feel like we aren't done.

Also we really scored a coup getting Pietrus and I'm extremely excited about him joining the team. But can't we still upgrade our third string small forward? Sasha got a DNP tonight and Marquis played out of position when Pierce wasn't on the floor. I still think waiving Sasha and signing Al Thornton would be the smart move.

Although the team is playing better I think we could have better people on the bench. We especially need more scoring and rebounding and Thornton and Przybilla could achieve that for our second unit.

Let me know what you guys think or if you have any other FA ideas. I personally would like to avoid a trade because I am really happy with our core guys.
