Chris Wilcox to Miss Time With Left Calf Strain
"Just when it appears Chris Wilcox is beginning to carve out a role with the Celtics, he gets hurt.
It happened again Friday night when he left the 88-79 loss to the Bulls at TD Garden with a left calf strain. He will miss at least three games, robbing the team of a useful big man off the bench."

This is what happens when out-of-shape veteran players try to play NBA basketball
This is looking like it could be another poor use of Celtics’ money
Please play JaJuan Johnson
The guy is tall, athletic and can run the floor. I don’t care if he’s not ready. Let him develop and make mistakes. We aren’t winning games anyway. Let the rookies play!
+1
The way things are giving JJ, Moore and Steimsma some serious minutes could not hurt and would help get them some experience to help develop them which is important since all 3 players are probably potential future players for the C’s as they seek to rebuild.
Watching Reggie Evans last nigh against the Lakers
All I could think is how we should have spent that MLE or Vet Min on him. He held his own against the Laker bigs, hustled to everything, and just had an overall knack for where to be for the rebounds. It was night and day between him and our players. He wouldn’t help the offense, but he looks like exactly what we need everywhere else.

Hope its nothing serious...
and Wilcox returns soon.
But in the meantime it could be a blessing in disguise at it will hopefully mean that Steimsma will be the back up center full time for the time being.
I hope so because I think the Steamer can help the C’s this year and it will also allow him to grow and develop some which will help him long term also especially if the C’s plan to give him a shot to be the center of the future.
