Wow...
Its odd to see such a story so soon this season.
But with the way the season has gone so far, story’s like this were bound to crop up sooner or later.
If teams are already inquiring about Pierce, I am sure that inquires for Ray and KG are also not far behind.
I think its premature to blow it up unless Danny gets a good deal for any of the big 3 or Rondo.
But if any of them are dealt away to jump start the rebuilding process all I can say is I hope none of our beloved Celtics end up wearing Laker uniforms.

Well...
since I came across the story on Bleacher report and they are simply reporting (and providing a link) to credible Yahoo sports Adrian Wojnarowski’s report that several contending teams have inquired about Pierce, I thought it would be best and fair to provide the bleacher report as the go to link in this particular fanshot.
Truth
Trading Pierce would be stupid.

No, No, No!
Please do not do this, Danny! Please allow him to retire a Celtic like he deserves to! Also, I really feel that this team will still come around and surprise a lot of people this year.
Just rumors... but we all know Danny is considering his options
Let’s face it, this team can’t beat Miami, Chicago, LA, OKC and probably many others in a 7 game series. No big name free agent is coming to Boston with just Rajon Rondo here. Time to gather assets and be fiscally responsible again like Danny did when he built this team. Instead of starting with PP in his prime he’s now starting with Rondo in his prime.
One team with a draft pick we might be interested in is Utah – who has Golden State’s 1st rounder, Top 7 protected. I have no problem moving our veteran’s for young talent and top 15 picks.
If we could go into the draft with the picks of GS and LAC and our own 1st rd pick that would get us on the right path to accumulating assets and maintaining cap room to some day maybe sign a FA who sees what we’re building is worth coming to.
If we get a good offer, do it
But not just for cap space. I mean, I’d do it for cap space coming off the books this year plus a few #1 picks…maybe. Pierce is still very good, and will probably be back to normal once he gets his legs under him. Remember, last year was his most efficient one to date. But…if we can get a really nice young guys in return and all the cap space, we can sign 2 max free agents (as Ray and KG come off the books as well) and have some young assets. We’re almost certainly not winning the title this year, so if we have a chance to get that kind of return, you have to do it. See what being sentimental to the original Big Three did to our franchise? I don’t want to go through that ever again.
Good lord, are all Celtic fans like this? So no loyalty no matter if they give you a championship? If this is how it is over here might as well not win anymore championships cos you guys dont know how to value you players.
