Michael Jordan thinks only Kobe Bryant deserves comparisons

There have been far too many “the next Jordan” guys to come through the league, an unfair burden put on a lot of players. Kobe is the only guy with the will and the skill to even come close. Kobe and Jordan are cut from the same cloth, both driven to compete, to win, to do whatever it takes to get there. Their will and drive stood out in the ultra-competitive NBA. There will not be many more like them.

Sometimes, we should sit back and enjoy what we have. Savor it. Enjoy watching Kobe for being Kobe, not argue about what he is or is not. A player like Kobe we will not see maybe again...

Michael Jordan thinks only Kobe Bryant deserves comparisons. Well good for him but I wouldn’t want to be compared to peanut head Jordan, I hope all players think about it.

let both those guys have whatever title they want. Jordan was amazing, so is Kobe. I’ll take Ubuntu in 2008 (and should have been 2010), Larry Legend, Bill Russell and TEAM BASKETBALL any freakin’ day of the week, over that nonsense.

How can you disagree with it?

I mean as much as I hate the guy, he’s it in terms of being the next Jordan. Not a duplicate copy, but the one that comes close.

This has nothing to do on which team you are routing for. Celtics, or whichever. But if you really know and appreciate basketball, individual player skills and all, you would tend to agree with what MJ said here.

It’s the fact this douche has posted the exact same thing on three other teams’ blogs. If he wants to fawn over Kobe, Celticsblog is not the place to do it, especially when the guy isn’t even a Celtics fan. He’s a Laker troll.
