It is driving me a little crazy. For years the active roster has been limited to 12 and a team could have 15 on the overall roster.
However, on Friday vs Detroit the Celtics played 13 players in the game. I assume there must be an exception because of the shortened season and training camp but I have been unable to find a reference.
If anyone knows what the official rule is currently and has reference to it I would appreciate. I hope it is a year long exception so that Bradley, Etuan, and Johnson can play(during blowouts) once Wilcox and Pietrus come back. Otherwise they are the likely players to be inactive unless someone else is hurt or resting.
Thanks
