My first trade proposal.
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=6nyfpht
Boston Receives: Michael Beasley (TWolves) , Francisco Garcia (Kings) , Jason Thompson (Kings), and Anthony Randolph (TWolves)
Sacramento Receives: Paul Pierce (Yes, I know. I hate it too.)
Minesota Receives: J.J. Hickson, Ray Allen (Yes, I hate it even more now too.)
But this isn't trade created by the die-hard fan in me. It's created by the Danny Ainge, don't hold on to the Big 3 too long, in me. I know parting with Pierce alone would be extremely difficult, but in addition to Ray, my favorite player on the team, it's gut-wrenching.
Why Boston does it: Beasley fits what the Celtics are looking for: Young, Versatile, Athletic, Talented. He has all the tools to become a perennial all-star, and I believe he could become one under the guidance of Kevin Garnett and Doc Rivers. Jason Thompson is a flat out beast. Sure, his stats now don't show it, but that's because he's buried on the depth chart in a loaded front court of the Kings. Check out his stats from his first two years in the league: 08-09: 11.1 PTS 7.4 REB 1.1 AST 0.7 BLK 09-10: 12.5 PTS 8.5 REB 1.7 AST 1.0 BLK. Then the Kings drafted Cousins and Westphal just forgot about Thompson. I believe he can be the steal of this trade, the hidden gem. Anthony Randolph was another up and coming yougin' with the Golden State Warriors. He was then shipped to Minnesota to rot and die. I believe he could become a good role player off the bench, being an effective scorer and rebounder. All these players are young, talented, and athletic. In addition, all these players are on 1 year contracts, so if it doesn't work out, we can still move on to free agency, though I would believe we would want to sign Beasley long term. Francisco Garcia is the baggage of this trade, though he's not all that bad. He was a decent SG before the Kings were perennial lotto-drafters and decided to go young. He's not all that bad of a replacement for Ray. His contract is for 3 years, but he's relatively cheap.
Why Sacramento does this: Their front court is overcrowded with Cousins, Hickson, Hayes, Thompson, and Donte Green.. kinda. Sounded better in my head. But let's continue. This would give their two big, young studs Cousins and Hayes to develop. The Kings also need a veteran presence on the team because John Salmons sure ain't leading them no where. With Garcia gone, John Salmons would move to the back up 2 guard position. Thus, in comes Paul Pierce. Pierce is a huge upgrade over Salmons and is a veteran and skilled all-star who can show this young King's team how to win.
Why Minny does this: Minny is another young and exciting team in need of a veteran presence, and who better to supply it than Ray Allen. Minny has a stockpile of young guards who could definitely benefit from some time with the 3-point king. J.J. Hickson is another young stud that David Kahn will stockpile and let rot at the bottom of the depth chart. He loves those. But really, who wouldn't want a good young big man nowadays?
Yeah. I know. I hate it too. F*** it. But hey, it was just me playing GM for a little bit. I tried to be as logical as possible. I am very much against the trading of any of the Big 3, but the window seems to be closing, and they are our greatest assets. Though, in all honesty, I do not believe this is the best we can do if we did trade them. I'll work on it.
Feedback?
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

I’ve always been a fan of Thompson

like it a little but...
Not sure Minny will be THAT much better with Allen long term- and same reason for PP. I think both teams could get way better long term value for these guys. If all of this went through, you would have to deal JJJ or bass (and others) to get some wing help. Then sign JR smith and or Chandler and I would be ecstatic. Again- not sure these teams would do this though
oops
i meant to say: OR sign JR smith and Chandler. Make a play for Mo Williams too, while we are at it.
how about this with the JAZZ

Are you guys serious???
Your trade proposal has Boston trading its starting SG and SF and receiving 3 PFs and a bench warmer.
Why would Boston want to receive 3 PFs when they already have KG, Bass, JaJuan, and Wilcox???
Your trade also puts Boston over the roster limit, so they’ll have to cut at least two guys and swallow their contracts, since they’re guaranteed at this point.
So, your hypothetical team is:
Rondo / Bradley
Dooling / Moore
Pietrus / Garcia / Daniels / Pavlovic
KG / Beasley / Bass / Thompson / Wilcox / Randolph / JaJuan
O’Neal / Stiemsma
Do you see how the team no longer has a viable starter at SG or SF? But it does have 7 PFs.
Actually
Beasley can play 3, and is pretty darn good at it. That’s who will replace Pierce. KG will have retired by then, giving room for Bass, JaJuan, or Randolph to grow in to the starter’s role. (I believe Wilcox is destined for the bench.) Also, Thompson is a center. That’s where he thrives. Lastly, Garcia is a shooting guard. He’s not fantastic, but he’s a good role player who can score.
Those aren't their natural positions.
Beasley, Thompson and Randolph are all natural PFs. We’d be playing them out of position by playing them at SF or C.
But, if that’s the route they go, I could see it possibly working. Crazier things have happened.
Though, it’s still highly, highly unlikely that the team would make those trades and hope the players play well out of position.
Also, I am still FULLY AGAINST acquiring Beasley. He is an immature player who will cause more bad than good on a Celtics team with no veteran presence. There is always a BIG reason why a team trades the #2 overall pick, and the Heat didn’t trade him simply to have space for Bosh. If Beasley lived up to his promise and played hard each night, the Heat would have kept him and save the money they spent on Bosh, possibly going and grabbing a true C or good PG.
Beasley has had problems, but him being traded from Miami may have very little to do with him and more to do with his inability to develop playing next to Wade. Look at Lebron now. When wade plays, he often looks lost in big games. Wade dominates the ball too much for another player like Lebron or Beasley to get into the flow of the game the way they need to

Beasley has that terrible mix of being immature off the court, inconsistent on the court, and currently underrated because he was once so overrated.
Celts’ fans should fear the possibility of Beasley coming to the team. He will never live up to expectations and will more likely than not turn into a malcontent.
Do you really think Doc will even play Beasley if he doesn’t show effort? I doubt Doc will. So it is a wasteful trade on the Celts part – giving up Pierce and Allen for a malcontent and a few young bench guys.
Great Trade Idea!!!
I too think Beasley could be a great Celtic. I have been pondering very similar ideas. If the Celtics sweetened the pot for Sacramento with a 1st round pick, I could see this deal actually happening. This maybe a bit ambitious, but if the C’s give up Pierce and a pick in this scenario, I would try to make the Kings throw in Evans instead of Garcia . Beasley, Evans, Randolph, and Thompson could be great playing along with KG and Rondo. With an additional in season free agent acquisitions (JR Smith, Chandler, or Brooks), this team could possibly contend this year and be set for years to come. All of that would depend on Doc’s ability to make it gel though
Need changes
PP wherever we can get young and good players Beasley sounds good then Allen and Bradley for Jason Thompson and Francisco Garcia.
I got a good trade idea? A four way trade that'll work.
Boston receive Pau Gasol, Steve Blake from the Lakers and Westbrook from the Thunder.
Lakers receive K.G. From Boston and Dwight Howard from Orlando
Oklahoma receive Rajon Rondo from Boston
Orlando receive Andrew Bynum from the Lakers and N. Mohammed from the Thunder.
It’s only my opinion….
