A trade that won't shake up the world, but could help.
I'd first like to point out that I'm a long time reader, just signed up and this is my first post. With that out of the way, I've been racking my brain trying to figure out a way to improve this team that is both realistic and attainable and I think I may have found one way.
The numbers work out and I think it would be a lateral move for both teams even though Hollingers stats disagree. If Boston were to acquire Ben Wallace and Will Bynum from the Pistons it would improve our depth at our two weakest positions. The acquisition of Wallace would also bring back some needed toughness to our frontcourt that is definitely lacking since losing Perk and Shaq. While Bynum would give us a legitimate back up point guard that hasn't really existed in the Big Three Era.
We'd have to send out Chris Wilcox and Keyon Dooling to make the numbers work and I'm almost certain we'd have to include E'twaun Moore to entice the Pistons to bite on this deal (possibly a 2nd rounder as well), but I believe it would at the very least make us more competitive this year and help weather the storm of injuries to the C or PG position if the problem arises.
Like my title states this is in no way a world changing trade, but I think it upgrades us this season and Wallace is off the books after this season. Bynum is on a 3mil a year contract for I believe 3 years (possibly 2 not 100% sure) which is very reasonable for a young back up PG.
For the Pistons they get a younger big for this short season and a 3rd string PG (which is where Bynum is stuck this year anyways), plus a young prospect in Moore. Since they're going nowhere anyways why not pull the trigger and see if Moore pans out?
Not a blockbuster trade, not even one that'll take us over the top to be honest, but insurance for injury and an upgrade to our weak points. Is this trade something you guys feel would help the team? Or am I the worst GM ever? Let me know what you think.
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

Give up on this season
We need to build for the future so don’t trade a talented player like Moore for another old guy

Not expecting much for this season
However Will Bynum isn’t exactly about to retire and he’s a proven PG that could spell Rondo and Doc may actually trust him to do it. Big Ben is just an enforcer and insurance for the season and then he’s out the door.
Man u are the biggest moore fan I have ever seen
Well I guess you are the only Moore fan I have ever seen yet
