The 2012 FA pool is looking thinner and thinner.

Which puts the C’s in a dilemma.

Do they let the season play out, wait until the summer to shed all the big contracts then attempt to sign some of the remaining 2012 big free agents , only to have all the better ones off the board, which will leave them with money to spend, but no one to spend it on until 2013, which will only delay the rebuilding process?.
or
Do they try to trade some of the core players this season to try to pluck up some of the better 2012 free agent players before they are all gone to get a jump start on the rebuilding process?

It will be interesting to see what route Ainge takes and alot will probably depend on how the C’s are playing come the trade deadline.
