Pierce for Melo
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=8a9ed7n
Just an idea here. Pierce, Wilcox and Johnson to New York for Melo. Apparently Melo and Amare aren't gellin' as good as they thought they would. Wilcox would give them an additional big guy to come off the bench. I originally had Bradley in the trade but NY has enough undersized guards already. Again, this is just an idea. I personally don't think Pierce will be traded at all.
What do you guys think?
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

In reply to this trade link:
ATL’s GM and ownership should be banned from the League forever if they allow this trade to go through.

In reply to Pierce for Melo:
My Lord, the C’s have no need for Melo and should stay as far away from him as possible. Next to DeMarcus Cousins, Melo is probably the worst player the Celts could trade for – a shoot-first SF who jacks up everything in sight, plays inconsistent (at best) defense, and has never ‘gelled’ with teammates or coaches.
There is no reason to believe he’d arrive in Boston and buy in to Doc’s system and the Celtics’ way. He would simply begin jacking up shots on the parquet. Melo has never been a team player.

calling his d inconsistent at best is a huge compliment
He has always been horrible at d, and is famous for pointing to his teammate on pick and roll defense while he refuses to switch or stick to his original guy so the switch is unnecessary.

Rather Pierce than Melo
Melo is obviously a better scorer, but he would need a training camp of “pass the d*** ball”-offense, before I would trust him to play with the Celtics. And even with that I’m afraid, he can’t change. D’Antoni’s offense is actually about giving up the ball, and Melo hasn’t really figured that out, yet. And while he can play great defense, he rarely steps up to do it.

fella
I’d take a look at that Fab Melo guy on Syracuse now. The other Melo is a drama queen.
Basketball is a team sport
If I was running the Celtics, I would not take Melo even if he were offered for free. Guess we can assume that whoever dreamed up a Pierce for Melo trade is a Knicks fan.
Melo in Boston
Thats craziest crap I ever in my life. Ain`t no way we can get Melo and trade Pierce. All we need is a bench. Ainge should trade Wilcox,Dooling,Daniels,Pavlovic,Johnson, & 1st round pick to Houston for C.Budinger,T.Williams, & H.Thabeet. Trade A.Bradley & E.Moore to Sacramento for I.Thomas. After the trade deadline Ainge should sign R.Wallace & E.House. We will come out the East with or without Melo. If Ainge get those guys in Boston.
are you an I thomas fan?
because the trade for him is terrible. pick number 55 and our first round pick last year for pick 60

I would do this.
But I don’t think Knicks would.
Say no to Melo
He’s a great individual player but basketball is a team game. Denver got so much better without him while the Knicks got worse.
Give me Paul Pierce any day, he’s a great captain, a well rounded player and a Celtics icon. Melo is a chump.
Are the knicks unhappy with Melo?
What is their reason for trading Melo?
