An Apology
To start I must simply say: Thank you Boston Celtics for making allf of CelticNation proud tonight. Thank you for the effort, for the heart.
Now I must apologize. I must because just a week ago I thought this team wouldnt make the playoffs, just a week ago I thought Danilo Gallinari was better than Paul "The Truth" Pierce and Josh Smith was better tha Kevin Garnett. I must apologize because I lost faith in the BEST FREAKING TEAM IN THE NBA. I must apologize because I disrespected them. I must apologize because I thought we should blow it up. I must apologize because I considered not watching the team anymore this season. I must apologize because i thought this team could not contend. I must apologize to the entire CelticNation too.
After watching the last two games I got my mind together. I realized I had to write this post. I realized that I'm a fan of the BEST FREAKING TEAM IN THE NBA. I have to say I'm in love with the Celtics, deep passionate love. Watching them play with their heart is like being in heaven. Watching KG bumping all around with Dwight was great, watching Moore hitting daggers was great and watching Pierce leaving everything in the court was even better. This team is all about ubuntu and celtic pride and those will never leave this team. That is why this team is great, that is why you can NEVER count this team out.
I don't know if I'm the only one who feels this way, I hope not. But after today's win I just had to expressed how I felt about this team, something that its so difficult to describe, so difficult to find the appropriate words.
Sorry Boston Celtics, Thank you Boston Celtics, and please don't ever leave us
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

Probabaly you just put this up because we had a great win. Come back again when we are loosing.
Win or lose, a true fan must stay loyal to the team and players. No matter what!
+1
A fan can get frustrated…. but that trade PP talk really bothered me. I kind of wish people who lost their faith so completely would be banned from watching the Celts for the rest of the year.
what happens if this was just a good matchup?
and we go back to playing like we did? should you then be banned from watching? the point is youre mad at people for reacting to how we were playing but celtics fans are used to being at the top and when it doesnt look like we are at the top then you make a change

I think sswallow’s point was that loyal fans wouldn’t want to trade Pierce no matter what the outcome of the season might be, win or lose.
oh i see
well that makes more sense but i think we hurt ourselves by not at least listening to trade offers. i mean if the lakers are willing to give us bynum (they arent) we have to weigh a franchise center and seeing pierce as a laker vs letting pierce retire a celtic and not having that young piece we could have gotten.
its a bad idea to tell everyone we want to break up the big 3 but we still should listen to offers

I still feel the prudent decision is to stand pat with our core guys. If we trade Pierce then we lose KG and Allen. I still would love those guys to come back for (much) smaller contracts next year. Keeping Pierce is the only way to keep them here.
We are just one legit center away from being a .700 ball club.
If kg and ray want bigger contracts we are sunk though. Letting them go and trading pierce for a young building block gives us cap room and a place to start building but we have to stomach trading the big 3

Paul has been my favorite player since his rookie year. He is a top 5 SF, and an absolute Celtics legend. He comes out this year healing and in preseason shape, works hard to get back in, only to the constant tune of off with his head.
I love watching the Celtics when they win. I tolerate watching them when they are crappy. But, no matter what happens, I will never lose faith. I’ll leave the trades to Danny and Doc, but until then these are my boys. It does make me really sad that people think of Paul like trade bait for a whole list of lesser players.
I guess now that he is playing well, we should trade ray or rondo right?
banned for the rest of the year?? WHAT?? have some mercy he was feeling bummed

Not Him
And not me. I have no power to do anything.
But, it would be interesting if somehow ‘fans’ who give up on their team were then banned from jumping back on the bandwagon when things turn around.
It’s one thing to feel bummed and go on a tirade about lack of heart or work ethic or skill or whatever… but giving up is different.
Imagine if you were actually on a sports team who was struggling and you just walked out of practice saying “what’s the point, we will never win”. You think a month later the team is letting you back?
A policy like this could really change how ‘fans’ think about and support their teams. To bad it’s impossible.
an apology
the celts are now playing with heart and passion. PP is back, KG is remembering wat defence is. Faith can move mountains just like it made the magic disappear.
hey..
sometimes a man’s faith must be rewarded!!..stole that from the DARK KNIGHT!!..lol
