Kaman?
Kaman is 100% healthy and was found on the inactive list.
He would be a great guy for our system. Can score, defend, block shots, and is a big body. His contract is also over by this years end.

I could see the Hornets doing their best to free him for the sake of his own career.
With that being said he has a hefty final year salary that we would have to match (14m)
Jermaine, Wilcox, and Dooling would work, but that gives the Hornets nothing really. Giving them some low level picks might do the trick, but they might see that as too many roster spots taken up by players they have no intentions of developing.
Thoughts?
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

wow i didnt realize they didnt really even want him
if eric gordon tells the team he is leaving maybe this is possible
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7y9vvu7
it would be split into two seperate trades (because of the trade rules)
but we get gordon as a restricted free agent (i think) and we can resign him in the offseason when we have the cap room. they get bass and bradley, oneal would retire i think, they get dooling but i dont know if they would want wilcox. we could send them the clippers pick to and this only happens if gordon tells them he wants out

not enough, salary doesnt match up
kaman had a trade kicker and now makes $14m.
plus they would have to drop multiple players to makes this deal, dont see it, as much as id like to have him on the team

his contract has a trade kicker
when he fets traded his contract increases by 15%…so while it jumped to $14m, if traded again it will jump another 15%. he’ll be making more than pierce….

trade kicker only happens once, even if traded multiple times
Sometimes glass glitters more than diamonds because it has more to prove.
Kaman
Ray and Daniels would work and we let Moore more playing time…….
i would love this trade
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7y7wze5
but i think it would take something like this for the pacers to bite

I don’t think Indiana will give up George for anything less then Pierce, who we cannot trade if we want KG and Ray to stick around next year, and if we care about the history of The Celtics, which I do.
i disagree
they already have granger i think they are looking to upgrade at PG or SG

Bradley would be a backup and no offense to my favorite player of all time but Ray Ray would be a downgrade at SG, Paul George creates so many matchup problems because of his height. In short this would never ever happen.
while i agree george has a high price
he is playing out of position and i think the pacers would love to move him or granger for a good sg

Kaman would be perfect here, but... Can we already trade Wilcox and Dooling?
I believe we can’t trade them til March 1, right?

i mean we wouldnt want to “mess up the chemistry”

Kaman is consistently solid. Would be great addition for us, but we need to be careful with who we trade. With all the injuries, more of our young guys are getting extended minutes and coming thru big time.
bradley
i’d trade bradley in a heartbeat to get kaman, i wouldn’t say the young guys are coming thru big time, moore had 1 good game before that he was 1 for 18 and bradley every game hes 2 of 9 with a few assist. i think its the defense more than offense. so whos really doing anything truthfully,
( pavs, marq, wilcox, j.o. bradley-stems_trade any of them to get a center
johnson, moore,
stats isnt everything
stiemsma contest every shot hamsbro (Indiana) only made 1 field goal while steam was guarding him
JO was like the superman criptin completely stop him
same for bradley to nelson and slowed down nash!!!!
wilcox has have us 2 great games look like his getting back in shape
marquis is a solid ball handler who runs great with the rookies
moore is getting his confidence and showing his shooting touch
jjj is yet to be seen
PPL FORGET HOW EASILY KAMAN CAN GET INJURED SIT FOR 5OUNTHS AND ALL WHO SAID LET GET HIM WILL SAY HIS A BUM AND WE MADE WRONG MOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
true dat.
Chris Kaman doesn’t know ball. He just knows limping around with his arms held out in front of him

Kaman
The big zombie is the missing part for banners 17-18-19-20, trade Ray and Daniels no harm done. One giant step forward we haven’t really missed their playing in fact we’ve done a hell of alot better.
NO, NO, No way !!!!!
While we can all agree that another center certainly could help us, there is absolutely NO WAY that we should consider trading a package of players and a first round pick for Kaman. A quick look at what some current centers have been acquired for??? BJ Mullens for a second round pick, M. Speights, a second round pick. I like Kaman but not at $14million in salary plus a 1st, which is what NOLA is looking for. I would send a second round pick to OKC for Cole Aldrich (who if he played enough minutes to qualify, would have a 22.17 PER, 64%.,currently buried on the bench behind Perkins, Mohammed, Ibaca. Kaman is the 35th ranked center. Another option would be to sign Greg Smith, 21 yrs old, 6’10" 250lbs, currently scoring 16.5 pts, 9.4 rb, shooting .675%. another option would be Jeff Foote 24yrs,
7’0", 265lbs, 15 pts, 9 rb, almost 50/50 ORB/DRB, +16.22 Both Smith and Foote are current NBADL players who could be signed for a reasonable cost, the main thing we need from a center is Health, health, health. Did I mention health? Oh yeah, plus 6 hard fouls per game.
NO, NO, No way, part two
By the way both BJ Mullens and M. Speights, rank above Kaman and they were acquired for second round picks, I would rather stand pat than trade players and picks for the KAMAN!!!!
"damned fool"
No one claimed BJ was better than Kaman, the post stated that it was not in the celtics best interest to send out 14 million in salaries, plus a first, gut your roster, to acquire Kaman. Read before you post…
Not sure what the situation is when “Rank above” doesn’t mean “better”.
I read it again and it still doesn’t make sense.
I understand the money situation is tough but I still don’t see how that ranks and lesser player above him even if they are still in their rookie contracts.
Everyone is underrating Kaman who has been an all-star and is still a formidable center.
