Why The Celtics Are Getting To The Finals

The Boston Celtics will get to the finals for one because they have a top 5 coach, a general manager that does all the right things, and 4 stars that are hungry for a championship. We have seen guys that know this is possibly there last hoorah and want to go out on a bang with a ring. To name a few, Curt Schilling (2007 Red Sox). Michael Strahan (07-08 New York Giants). you could even say Sam Cassell and P.J Brown did the same in 07-08. These guys are still good players and have a solid bench. Ray, Paul, and Kevin all do different things wich is a way to really not be one dimentional (need i not say the Knicks). If the Celtics keep winning don't count Danny Ainge out on making a deal for a Ben Gordon or a Luis Scola down the stretch. YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST CELTICS GET TO WITHIN THE 3 SEED BY MARCH THEY WILL WIN THE EAST...

The Finals is a pipe dream at this point

The Celtics will need to stay healthy to have a chance to make that. In this condensed season with old legs, that is not a good bet to take. I like how they are playing now but they need Rondo and Ray Allen back soon for added depth. Avery Bradley is only going to be a career back-up guard but has value as a good defensive player. Longer term concerns remain Big Man depth and talent.

getting to the finals is great...but

We would have to hope that we come up against the Thunder or the Mavs.
If the Lakers make it, then they will most likely destroy us inside with their twin towers.
Doubt they get that far without Odom, but if they are playing well enough to get to the finals without him they will be so hard to beat.

Would love to see if we could do it though.

I agree moving quickly on a Kaman deal, just be careful who we trade because some of our younger players are producing with Rondo, Allen, and JO out.
Lakers ain’t making it to the Finals, or even the conference finals. With or without Dwight Howard.
