So we want a center?
i'm not trying to unload Rondo- but here is the only way we get a young big guy. It has to be via trade, as no bigs worth a darn will be FAs (and Howard wants to be in LA). With one deal, we can get a big man, and stick it to the Lakers. I'm not sure this would work money wise-- but its a thought. 3 way trade: (This assumes we will keep Bass / Kg / Pierce/ Pietrus next year))
Clippers get: Howard, Daniels, Reddick
Orlando gets: Rondo, Foye, Bradley, JJJ, O'neal, + 1st round picks ( from clips + celts)
Boston gets: Deandre Jordan, Eric Bledsoe, Ryan Anderson, j Nelson
Orlando gets to rebuild around young athletic players + picks. They could flip Richardson etc to minny for Beasly or a big. Boston gets 2 bigs plus young PGs. Sign wilson Chandler or JR smith next year if Allen is gone.
LA gets their guy that will resign to play with Paul.
Celts look like this: Nelson, Pierce, Pietrus, KG, Jordan
Bledsoe, Moore, Allen, Bass, Anderson
Pavlovich, Wilcox, Stiemsma (Chandler/Smith)
Rebounding solved- interior defense better. kG and Allen could slide to 2nd unit next year. Could we draft and rebuild quicker? i don't think so. Bledsoe has more potential than Bradley as scorer (not defender). Nelson can shoot well and probably can handle the ball as well as Bradley. Not sure Orlando parts with Anderson- but they could trade with sac or Minny for replacement (thompson?) - and could be fun to watch. They have to get something for Howard- this would be better for them than Bynum IMO. What the heck.... what do you think?
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

Trading the best true point guard in the game so we can have Nelson leading the pack?
Ya…..I think I will pass
I think we should do whatever it takes to get
Derrick favors
If that means sending rondo and bass and bradley for favors and Harris I think we should do it

Maybe then we ship Harris to Sacramento
For Thompson. I remember people saying tyreke would be better at the 2 so they would get a point guard and we get their backup center. Obvious this leaves us short at pg but
Moore/dooling
Allen/pietrus
Pierce/Sasha
Kg/thompson/JJ
Favors/oneal
Maybe we package oneal and stiemsma for a point guard (George hill or something) but I think favors will be a star and having him and Thompson would make us a much better team inside.

The point here is
that we get a big man— and Bledsoe (IMO) will have HUGE upside. Nelson will only be a piece short term— but could play well as compliment to PP and KG. (I probably made this trade too big because Allen or KG contract would have to be moved to accomodate Jordan). The Favors trade is a good one- but i would still jump on Bledsoe because of Clippers log jam at PG. (Moore/ Dooling isn’t athletic enough as you stated— and you may have to let Allen go for an athletic wing— then i like that trade.
Doesn't work
If we sent a pick to NO for Kaman we still have to send them at 11.5 million in salary.
depends
on what your goal is. If you want to make the playoffs- and are happy with losing in round 1 or 2, that is fine. If you want to addrerss the future and still be competitive next year,(and after)- its a different situation. Not sure Kaman, while a good fit, will help us in the future. Most if not all of the future big man building blocks can only be accessed via trade. If you want ot go athletic and keep Rondo, then you better send some older folks down the road.
Pierce can’t play point the entire season and still have enough gas to play at his usual level when the playoffs hit.
Personnel moves are unnecessary at this point since any move will almost definitely lead to a worse team. Rondo’s necessary because while Bradley defends with the best of them and Moore had that one hot game from behind the arch they still aren’t (and may never be) good enough for us to win a championship with them as starters.
Interesting Idea....
I like this trade idea, and I think it works for everybody. Orlando may want back more, but I think that as currently constituted this trade is fair for everyone. From Boston’s perspective. I think this deal and another involving Ray for an athletic wing scorer could make C’s a threat this year. I like Bledsoe, but would Mo Williams be more valuable to the C’s this year? The problem with Jordan is he lacks a real offensive game and he fouls too much; however, adding him would improve the C’s defense and rebounding. I like it!
Celtics needs....SCORING
We should target Eric Gordon, free agent….
Danny will pick him up for sure then
See: Marbury, Robinson, Wallace. He’ll be another streaky bench guy who will score 25 points with 5-5 from 3 and win us a game and then score 25 points over the next 4 games and shoot 5-55 why we all do facepalms. Good times, good times!
i bet over 75 percent of nba players smoke weed in the offseason
its higher than that in college ball

Yeah the only problem with getting a pothead on your team is hes obviously stupid since he was the one in four (or whatever) that got caught

Well...
We are now playing with Bradley… Jameer will do more to accent the starters than Bradley (by far)— and further reading says you also get Bledsoe (or Mo Williams). Plus we still have Moore Why would we need a PG?
I think this is interesting
the weak point, as you probably realize, is the Magic. I like Foye and I like the picks, but what is the price of upgrading from Jameer Nelson to Rajon Rondo? You’ve got them giving up their two best players, one of whom is basically an MVP. I think they could do better for themselves
Wow-
I thought Orlando makes out like a bandit here— considering howard could walk for nothing. They get Rondo and Foye- huge athleticism and potential in Bradley and JJJ PLUS the picks. Of course they would need to acquire some size (draft-FAs- trade) which as we know is not easy. But Minny, Sac and Utah could listen to offers …
We're going to have to wait and see what Howard gets traded for.
Remember for a second, though, that if they take what the Nets offered, they would keep Ryan Anderson, shed Turk’s contract, and bring in Lopez AND two juicy 1st rounders. Compare that for a second to what you are suggesting: would you rather have
OPTION 1Rondo, Foye, Bradley, JJJ, O’neal, Hedo Turkoglu’s contract
+ protected 1st round picks ( from clips + celts)
-——————————————-
OR
OPTION 2Anderson, Lopez, Nelson, Reddick, cap relief
+ Nets UNPROTECTED 1st round pick and Rockets protected 1st round pick
-——————————————-

Erden
I want Erden back before next season. He would be great to help out at center. Can this be done? I doubt it. It would be awesome to see him back next season too. Guys like Bass and Pietruis that want to play hard for the C’s are great. Erden fits in with the role player hustle type players we need to surround the big three and that Rondo fella.
