Happy Birthday Captain Pierce

Stay connected for news and updates

October 13th marks the 35th birthday of one of the greatest players of all time.

Here are some of Paul Pierce's achievements:

He made the NCAA All-American First Team with Kansas University in 1998.

He was a 2-time, Big 12 Tournament MVP, in 1997, and 1998.

He came into the NBA drafted 10th overall by the Boston Celtics and made the All-Rookie First Team in 1999.

He had his first All-Star appearence in 2002, and remained an All-Star until 2006, and continued to be an All-Star from 2008-2012.

Pierce was a 3-time, All-NBA third team selection in 2002, 2003, and 2008.

He made the All-NBA Second Team in 2009.

And of course he was the NBA Championship Finals MVP in 2008.

Pierce is ranked 25th All-Time in scoring, logging 22,591 points in his NBA Career (2nd in Celtics history behind John Havlicek), and ranked 9th in 3-point field goals made at 1678 (ranked number 1 in Celtics history).

He's had much more accomplishments and milestones in his career than this I'm sure, but there's no doubt in my mind that they'll be hanging his jersey up in the rafters.

Happy Birthday Paul Pierce. I hope one of your birthday wishes is to get a victory over the New York Knicks tonight.
