The wait is finally over! The NBA season is HERE!
Tonight, the Heat begin their title defense tonight against the Celtics. In my opinion, this game will be the most fun to watch. I say that because I am curious to see how the Celtics will bounce back from a pretty good off-season. Secondly, I would like to see how LeBron will react to winning his first championship. Will he come out flat, or will he play like the LeBron we saw in the championship series last season? This question remains to be seen.
Seeing that the Celtics are going to be the away team, and they will be in the lockerroom during the Heat's ring ceremony, I think the C's are going to come out ON FIRE! I think that KG is going to give a great motivational speech (as always), and this will then get his team fired up. Also, earlier in the off-season, Kevin Garnett said that he doesn't have Ray Allen's number anymore. I was not surprised by this statement because Kevin is the ultimate competitor. With that being said, I think the Celtics are going to come out not wanting to beat the Heat; but to beat RAY ALLEN!
I honestly think that the Celtics are much improved and they have some great low-post players. Even though they may have gotten rid of Allen, the C's acquired some great players during the off-season.
Also, the Celtics are a bigger team than the Heat. That is probably the Heat's biggest weakness heading into tonight's home opener.
Next, I am not going to be surprised if there will be some verbal confrontations and possibly some physical altercations between the two teams.
Earlier today, I was watching PTI and Charles Barkley made an appearance.
Charles Barkley: "If the Heat are not careful, they are going to have a hard time defending their championship."
Lastly, in tonight's game, I am going with the upset, and choosing the Boston Celtics!!
