Ok so here are my thoughts on game 1. I'll break it down by player I guess:

Pierce - looks strong, glad to see him healthy... even more lethal this year from 3 point land..

Rondo - we expect the best from him, he needs to start scoring more and stop deferring all the time. I love the way Rondo always sticks it to Dwayne "punk A$$" Wade....

Lee - great defense on wade, really like what I'm seeing from him, excellent addition and will be able to cover guards that are maybe too big for bradley.

Terry - played pretty well but we expect that from him. Love his attitude and the fact that he can create his own shot (big upgrade to Ray in my opinion)

Barbosa - instant offense, love his decisiveness and the energy he brings off the bench. This guy was an absolute steal.

Bass - I've never liked this guy -- I realize Doc has different lineups but I would like to see him playing limited minutes coming off the bench. He obviously did not work on his game, he still has zero moves and is a big man jump shooter. He is also an average rebounder at first.

Garnett - loved the way he dissed Ray "CS'er" Allen.. played pretty well, think we need to see more lineups with him back at PF

Sulinger - this guy is still very raw but has huge upside an potential.. has more moves than bass and obviously better rebounder, i would like to see Sullinger featured more in the offense with Bass' minutes reduced..

Jeff Green - I have grave concerns with green, he still looks like the same green from two season ago.. somewhat tenative.. i do like the fact that he drives to the basket and doesn't settle for jumpers.. time will tell if this guy was a total bust or not..

Rebounding - looks like it will be much improved in this year which has been the Celtics Achilles heal including the 2008 finals....

Collins/Wilcox/Milicic - I think you will see these guys play a lot more.. these smaller lineups are not going to work against most teams... hopefully with these guys more in the rotation the defense will look a lot more like last year..

Doc - expect him to experiment this season with a lot of different lineups... this will probably cost the celtics a bunch of games but hopefully the ROI pays off after the all star break.. this team is absolutely stacked and Doc might have the toughest job in the league on how to utilize all these guys and keep him happy...
