Celtics final score: Brooklyn beats Boston after brawl 95-83

Jared Wickerham

The story of the night was the brawl and the end of the streak, but rebounds once again killed this team.

Where to start with this one? Oh, yeah, probably the brawl.

Folks were critical of Rajon Rondo's streak because they thought he was stat padding in a selfish way. Apparently the streak wasn't THAT important to him because he chose to toss it away for the sake of sticking up for a teammate. You can debate how smart a move that was, but you can no longer say that Rondo valued statistics over other things (like say, wins or getting teammates backs).

In related news, Kim Kardashian is a BIG Rondo fan all of a sudden.

In other news, three Nets had double figure rebounding nights including Andray Blatche of all people.

Jerry Stackhouse still lives... and killed the Celtics tonight.

Red's Army points out that the Celtics were outscored 30-3 from three point land. I'd say that was a big part of the difference tonight.

After Rondo left we also were treated to Wilcox getting sick, Green spraining his ankle, and Courtney Lee landing hard on his arm. Thankfully the latter two seem to be ok.

Ugly game. Not fun.

Doc Rivers: "we're a soft team right now. We don't have any toughness. That (fight) stuff is not toughness."
