After watching last night's necessary win over Cleveland, Jason Collins played 23 minutes of foul-heavy defense. He managed to foul-out in that time, and Tyler Zeller scored 20 points in a career-high performance in Anderson Varejao's absence. First question: how is it okay to give Jason Collins 23 minutes? He can't rebound, can't block shots, and basically, can't get off the ground. He's a nuisance, but a relatively hopeless NBA player. He happens to have a wide body and he gives you effort. Can't we do better, Danny?? We need some help in the front court, desperately. In this open letter to Danny Ainge, I explain how Jarvis Varnado is worth a roll of the dice.
Here's the link, at The Darko Index:
An Open Letter to Danny Ainge: Sign Jarvis Varnado to a 10-day contract.
