Since Indy hasn't been high on Psycho T-Rex lately (it's said that Indy may not even pick up his option next year & may look to trade him by trading deadline to get something in return), then maybe we can trade Sully & Collins plus a 1st or 2nd round draft pick, the numbers work since T-Rex only makes $3 mil. this year & $4.3 mil. next year, the last year of his contract. Best case scenario for us: T-Rex will give us a consistent 10 points & 10 rebounds, he's also solid in rotation D, he'll be a good it for us as the PF to play alongside KG. And eventhough T-Rex is not athletic, he has enough intelligence for the game (knows where to be at the right place, at the right time offensively & defensively) which will suit our non athletic, half court based team. Also, T-Rex works hard & maximizes his potential inspite of being non athletic & limited, he'll never be a star player yet he's quite servicable & a solid role player which Brandon Bass was last year. In short, he'll simply take over Bass PF position, we'll get a Bass type player of last year. And with Bradley coming back hopefully to be a starter, we'll be exactly like last year that we really can beat Miami, I think. Sully on the other hand has the POTENTIAL to become a solid role player 2-3 years from now in a young, athletic team like Indy, he will be a good fit for them in the future & thus, Indy may take our offer since T-Rex is no longer a good fit for them. Worst case scenarion for us is that the best T-Rex can ever be is a 6 point, 6 rebound PF though that's unlikely given his work ethic & he'll play with a pass-first PG, I imagine him getting at least 3 assist inside the paint per game from Rondo, the other 4 points will come from hussle offensive rebounding & put back or perhaps, a couple of free throw. At any rate, we'll be happy to get even just 8 & 8 from him as long as it's high percentage score & that he'll be sound in rotation D. Is T-Rex really that limited or will he help us like how Bass did last year? Then we'll still have Green, Bass, & Lee at the bench with Terry, Wilcox, Barbosa & hopefully, Melo, we really need to develop that guy now.
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.
