This Team is Complete Garbage

Let's call a spade a spade. Watching them is tiresome and we're all struggling to find inspirational things to say, or relics to hold onto. But this team is done and it's painful for all of us.

It certainly doesn't help to see our once MarShon Brooks tearing it up in his rookie year for another team.

And to see pics we could have had like DeAndre doing precisely the roll we lack.

2008 was a dream year, and it's time to rebuild.

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

jajuan johnson will have a better nba career than brooks

I'd suggest he's ALREADY playing better overall than Brooks.

Brooks is scoring points through volume shooting. But he’s not particularly super efficient and his team is gasping for breath defensively when he’s on the floor (113 DRtg). The whole Nets team is bad defensively (112) but he’s clearly part of the problem.

JJ’s point scoring is much more modest, but his overall performance in all aspects of the game already looks much better. He’s only played about a 1/4 the minutes that Brooks has played, though. By the time he catches up in minutes, I suspect JJ will look WAY more valuable.

NBA Officiating - Corrupt? Incompetent? Which is worse? Does it matter? It sucks.

I think they will both go down as top 10 players from this draft though
I think brooks will be very good but JJ is the steal of the draft I think

JaJuan Johnson plays fractions of the minutes that brooks does if he got 42 minutes like brooks did in that game then his line would look a lot better

Consistently:

1. No one can drive and create but Rondo. 2. No interior presence that can affect inside scoring. 3. Starters can hardly score in the last half of the fourth quarter. People keep asking why we are inconsistent (see 1-3 above). The complete lack of athleticism at most positions forces us to make jumpers. When we do, we win or get close. When we don’t, we could lose to many top 10 college teams. Is it time that we can finally accept that maybe the "closers " on this team aren’t closers anymore? it is too consistent to be a coincidence – it is a fact, and I don’t care who you place blame on. Watching the nightly highlights of transition slams and alley-oop dunks (strangely never celtic highlights) it seems that we caught in the 70’s style of play. Only thing missing is the short shorts. I know there may not be much we can do right now, but if we are committed to Rondo as our PG, this roster has got to be changed. Otherwise, trade him (and others/picks) for a couple of post players and play that style. We are now stuck with neither

I agree

Maybe the pieces don’t fit anymore. But if that’s the case, best time to completely blow it up is in the offseason

This team is a long shot contender (maybe?) when everything is going well

And obviously not everything is going well. Last year and the year before this team had trouble putting away bottom feeders, the big 3 getting older makes it even worse. Won’t count this team out, but gotta keep the expectations relatively low.

"The truth is consistent when we need him to be"

If this is sarcasm,, i get it. Otherwise, when DON’T we need him to be. Thats like the football analysts saying, The team really doesn’t need unneceesary penalties at this stage of the game" What stage of the game is it necessary?

The end for the Big 3

by juanpan on Feb 16, 2012 1:32 PM EST reply actions

When I thought we were getting David West I felt really good about the team. Then the Jeff Green thing, the West deal fell thru, and the slow start have dampened my expectations. And even tho we started playing better, I still don’t know what to make of this team from game to game. We had that spurt but then lost to a bad Lakers road team at home and then lost to the Raptors! The Raptors?! Really? And then, last nite, lost at home to the Pistons? Right now we look like a 1st round exit if we make the playoffs at all.

Stop watching the game just to mention one thing, we look very old and tired if we cannot beat the Bulls tonite give it up, sorry to say.

Garbage is a little harsh...

…they are just old…the starters anyway. Why Rivers keeps insisting on starting a geriatric starting lineup is beyond me other than he’s afraid to live with the mistakes of the young guys because he thinks their mistakes will cost them games. Oh wait, the team is losing anyway without the rooks playing. Good plan, Doc.

lol

i’d rather go down with the old guys then the ones we have on our bench

bradley cant shoot, cant dribble, cant pass
moore, cant make a shot
stems 4 fouls in 4 minutes
jj scores but gets beatdown on defense and over powered needs to gain weight 6ft 10 2220 pds lol
what young guys can really help this team none of them.

I think you meant soaking wet
JJ will be an awesome pro but he needs time once basketball is his full time job he will get bigger

by JuJuan some moore on Feb 18, 2012 8:08 PM EST via mobile up reply actions

You got that right ………useless and worthless …..

by juanpan on Feb 18, 2012 10:40 PM EST reply actions

Going back to the JJJ and Marshon brooks thing. I thought it was a bad trade because we really needed a backup SG/SF. With green being out and with the Celtics in need of a good scorer. We also have brandon bass so JJJ gets scrap/injury time and thats it. But i am not saying MB or JJJ is better than one another, i just thought MB was a better fit.
