Around SBN: Ryder Hesjedal Wins Giro d'Italia

if we could stay healthy, we could make a deep run in the playoffs...

barring injury, its feasible that we could have a good run in the playoffs..the rugged schedule is really taking its toll on the other teams, as manifested by the thinning core of the other team's rosters, one could surmise that youth is not the key for winning it all this season..if we could only make the likes of JO, dooling, wilcox + our youngsters serviceable, meaning, getting the job done, after our core 5 have done their jobs, say, earlier on in the game, then we could have better chances..doc should trust the youngsters more, with a mixture of good time management and balancing of the fab four's playing time, things can only get better by then..

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

I would raise that bet

Everything depends on health. If healthy in the playoffs, Cs could win it all.

count me in JR99

that’s exactly what most “fans” miss out on our celts right now, if they can get past through the regular season with a clean bill then i’d stick it out with the team, i would welcome a serviceable addition of a true big/middle, but if JO stays unscathed, he can still do it for us…

exactly

quietly danny has overhauled the bench.

we really need one...

but if this is the roster that DA can cook up until the trading deadline, then i pray they all stay healthy..managing minutes is key..this is where the spunk of our bench mob comes into fore, youth to complement our core 5 should hold its ground so as not to overly use the “old&tired” legs of our vets..

I heard JVG said this today:

What if the Celtics are drawn against the Phillies in the first round, Chicago next, then the Heat after?

If that’s the case, just about everything has to go our way, and just about everything has to go against our opponents.

"I’m going to probably fade to black,’’ he said. "To be honest, I’m not a showman guy. I’m going to fade to black. I don’t know what I will do. I’m an idealist. I have a high drive and I’m very determined. Fade to black, man, like evaporate.’’

when its true...

that we were struggling, i would take JVG’s comments with a grain of salt, adversity has really overshadowed our struggling season but that doesn’t mean we can’t overcome them..would boil down to match-ups i guess..isn’t it clear, if we will it, we win it? we refuse to believe what they say about us that’s why one by one, step by step, challenge after challenge, we are rising to the occasion..

Playoff seeding "what ifs"

are the kind of thing I literally don’t see the point of worrying about right now.

One game at a time.

NBA Officiating - Corrupt? Incompetent? Which is worse? Does it matter? It sucks.

Offensive Lulls

Here’s the trend:

’08: team struggles with offensive lulls a few games but defense and talent are enough to convincingly win the ring.

’10: team struggles more worryingly with offensive lulls, but packages enough guts and heart to almost win a ring. Offensive lulls cost us game 7.

‘11: offensive lulls get much worse, and there’s not enough energy to overcome them. Title run peters out prematurely.

’12: offensive lulls are as bad as ever and cost lots of games in a foreshortened season. Defense sparks a nice run, but with rare exceptions, the offensive lulls make things very hard. (We played enough defense to beat the Knicks, a poor defensive team, by 15+!)

I don’t like the trend.

If we cannot figure out a way to score more consistently, we will not have enough defense to get to the Eastern finals.

We have all it takes to win a ring …

Except being able to consistently score, say, 92 points, which would be enough with our D.
