Trade ?

Assuming Howard does not want Boston as his team, and assuming KG will retire or be a second unit guy next year (along with Allen)- here may be a good trade: (Picks or throw-ins needed to even up if necessary) Knicks get----- Howard, Bradley, Nelson, Oneal, (pick?) Orlando get-----Stoudemire, Rondo, Wilcox, Daniels/or pick Boston gets-----Chandler, Anderson, Shumpert Knicks and Orlando get main pieces + potential (picks too) boston gets a chance to still compete this year, and size to pair with young guys for the future. Line-up for this year Shumpert, Pierce, Allen, Kg, Chandler Moore, Pietrus or Dooling, Pavlovich or JJJ (yes small forward), Bass, Anderson/Stiemsma. Next year we may lose or move Kg and Allen (maybe Bass if he wants more money)- and have money to sign a wing scorer/creator (Green/) and still have a #1 pick to use for the future. Worse case next year Shumpert, Pierce Pietrus, Anderson, Chandler Moore, Allen or(FA), Green, JJJ Stiemsma / FA big Draft pick /Pav / and FA (min) to fill out roster Let the debate begin...

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

I posted this on another fan post

But this seems a more appropriate place for it

I think augustine is gone at the end of the year and so they get Bradley and maybe a second round pick to downgrade from augustine to dooling for the year. And we get an awesome backup point guard

Yeah I think it really helps us for this season

We basically give up Bradley to rent Augustine this will let rondo rest without our offense being completely different when he’s out

I like it!

Well thought out deal. I think that works for everyone. Orlando may want Chandler instead of Stoudemire, but I think this could happen. Shumpert may make it easy for C’s fans to forget about Rondo. To me he is a bigger Rondo with a better offensive game

Not right now...

But i think in a couple of years this guy will be a stud

Shumpert is a slightly better Toney Douglas that can dunk. In no world is he a Rondo. He’s a SG not a PG.

Rondo

The way we use Rondo in the final 3 minutes— he may as well not be on the floor. Pierce plays point- and Rondo stands (and no one cares if he shoots so his defender sags into the lane like he did on our last possession). Shumpert does not have playmaking skill set- but his potential scoring / overall game – coupled with the bigs in this trade – will be a better contender than what we have now. Anderson can fill it up from the perimeter, and rebounds well, and Chandler does the dirty work. I am beginning to think more and more that Rondo without a significant big man will not be the centerpiece that people think he will be. His gamble off of Shumpert (wide open three that missed) could have cost us the game— and he does that stuff all the time. I like this trade for us— and opens a window for rebuilding while not completely closing the door on what we have now. those that want to wait until the season is over—— you can’t involve yourself in a Howard deal at that time because he will be traded this year, or a free agent— and my OP states the assumption that Howard will not be a Celtic. I think everyone wins here— and it is very do-able

Trade with Knicks and magics (

I would not want to facilitate any trade of Howard to a team in our division or conference. clearly, we would not be getting the better of the deal if Howard is involved.
