This is how i see it...
Rondo isn't hirting this Celtics team. Before paul pierce had his legs, rondo was controlling the team, trying to win games for us. Last night was a different story,, he didnt have much confidence and i could tell his wrist was still sore. I believe that when Rondo is fully healthy again, to the point where he was 8-9 games ago, this team will be much better. We just need everyone else healthy. Rondo will help us, not hurt us. This is to answer some of those posts about what Rondo will do prior to his return. Thanks for reading!
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

Ya .......
When Paul Pierce came back he look horrible and many people that he lost his mojo. So we can’t just write off Rondo he’s first game coming off an injury.
However
No matter what we think of rondo now— he is the only guy that would bring a big man in return (see my post titled “trade”). I truly believe that the point guard in the celtics system is the most replaceable/interchangeable. Moore and Bradley, though not nearly as savy as Rondo, did not have a negative effect on the overall team performance. That said, Rondo has the contract and reputation to bring us a QUALITY big man. A big guy like Chandler, Jordan, etc will have a greater impact on our team now and in the future than Rondo- whose shooting / offensive game has maybe reached its ceiling (on this team anyway, as it is constructed).
Based on the current roster a big man would be better
But When it’s time to rebuild Chandler would not be worth that monster contract. Deandre Jordan could be worth his contract, because he is a lot younger and more athletic.
I agree we need a big man but you trade Rondo and whos gonna run the point? Bradley? Etwuan. Both of those guys are great players but not fit to run the PG position. Youre losing a valuable piece (rondo) and just getting another valuable piece. No gain/Lost. Rondo knows this team very well and just dominates in the playoffs and bring the team together. At this point i think it would be better to keep our PG than to trade him away. If we could get a center some other way off of picks or a less valuable player, im all for it. But im just saying trading rondo and getting a good Center in exchange is not gonna make much of a difference.
But...
I think we CAN compete with Chicago/Miami with a center that can board/bblock shots, etc——- not without. On my other post, you can see I get a PG too…. Just IMO
Actually
I fear Chicago more than Miami.
KG playing the way he is could wreck Chris Bosh.
Rondo playing normal again…he can kill Mario Chalmers.
It’s just Jermaine O’Neal who would be the problem at the center position.
Chicago on the other hand…their entire team is like flawless. Only Miami can take them down as of right now…
You are forgetting 2 superstars to 1 and Rose is worse than Lebron, possibly worse than Wade
I know it’s easy to hate on the Heat and they deserve it, but you can’t deny their talent. Also they play good defense too so it isn’t like they are soft on that end. Also who is the second best player on the Bulls team? Deng/Noah/Boozer whoever you answer it is a massive drop off.
NOT GOING ANYWHERE!!
Rondo stays right where he is!!
