Rondo - John Wall
It's just an idea, but I'd like to know your opinions guys..
I like John Wall, he is agressive, good defense, makes big shots and can do much more if have good teammates..
I also love Rondo, he has rarely skills, but i just miss a point guard who can shot threes, make good jumpers and don't be so tender like Rondo..
I think it's not time to this trade yet, but maybe after this season..
If you could, would you do that trade?
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

If you want a pg that can shoot threes and make good jumpers...
why would you want John Wall?

Absolutely Not!
John Wall is too much of a selfish player. I don’t think by having him on the team would attract other free agents. I would stay with Rondo. The only two point guards I’d be willing to take is Chris Paul or Derrick Rose, which would never happen. Why are we continuously attempting to make trade ideas regarding Rondo. The only way we would be able to make a trade this year would be by blowing up the Big Three. I’m not saying we should, but with the everyone’s idea of acquiring players, this would be the only logical answer. I would wait until the season ends and hope DH12 becomes a free agent and offer him a whole lot of money and make the sales pitch he is playing with a “pass first point guard”. If the team goes south within the next few weeks I would trade Pierce for Paul George and try to acquire Josh Smith.
My Fantasy 2013 Starting Five:
PG: Rajon Rondo
SG: Paul George
SF: Jeff Green
PF: Josh Smith
C: Dwight Howard
lol, no
Wall is becoming the same kind of player as Rose and Wastbrook are.. Just showing off and being selfish.
I don't follow rules, I let the rules follow me.
Rose had 13 assists against the Bucks and Clippers
How is that showing off and being selfish?
Also 7th in assists per game.
Totally selfish though.
I'm just saying
that everything rotates around him too much and the bulls rely on him a little bit too much. He had 16 assists in one game, so?
He is 7th in assists cuz he is a PG, though, but he should worry about his teammates more and care less about himself.
I don't follow rules, I let the rules follow me.
Your argument makes no sense.
“He doesn’t set up his teammates enough and is too selfish”
He is 7th in the league in assists per game
“Well that’s because he is a PG”
If only 6 people in the entire NBA, including other point guards, dish out more assists than him per game, how is he being selfish? He is one of the 5 most efficient players this season. He scores AND dishes out assists. Saying you wouldn’t want Rose is just… ignorant.
Rondo may average a while 1.3 more assists
but Rose averages over 10 more points a game and 1 less turnover. Not to mention he has a waaay higher player efficiency rating. I love the Celtic’s pride here, but I guarantee the C’s organization would not hesitate to switch point guards with the Bulls.
The only reason he scores
Because that’s how the Bulls function.. He is their main scoring option.. Those assists are a result of being double teamed and up against good defenders..
Same thing was with Iverson on the Sixers.. He was the main scoring option and he started dishing out assists when he became the main focus of every other teams defence. You seriously think Rose wouldn’t like to average 35ppg? Give me a break. He isn’t a geniuine point guard, just like Westbrook.
I don't follow rules, I let the rules follow me.
Of course he is their main scoring threat
He is incredibly fast and is great at finishing at the basket. I never disputed that. You made the comment that he is selfish and only cares about his points yet he is 7th in the entire league in assists per game; your argument has no grounds. Zero.
Let me ask you this: Would you rather have a point guard averaging 9 assists and 16 points or 8 assists and 24 points? It is pretty clear which is the better choice.
Don't group Rose with Westbrook in terms of mentality
Rose has to shoot a lot by design, look at his teammates. Westbrook definitely should be setting up teammates more, but to be fair to Westbrook, he is playing out of position.
Bottom line is
Washington wouldn’t trade Wall for Rondo. They’d laugh at it.
Yup
Rondo is the better player right now, but Wall has way more upside. Wall has potential to be a much better scorer, and is much younger. And if this trade was made, it would only hurt the Celtics this year. Wall is too raw right now to properly set up this Celtics team like Rondo does.
agreed on all points
Wall can’t step in and start playing our system like Rondo in less than a season. That said, if you got him on a team with smart, disciplined teammates- Indiana, Portland, San Antonio, Boston, Denver, Orlando, to name a few, he would bloom like Rose.
Haha! See what I did there?
Do you guys actually watch basketball? If you ever watch the Wizards you’ll see Rose score on 1/10 possessions using his speed which is great, but then for the rest he’ll miss an open scorer, or turn the ball over from over dribbling.
John Wall is not a good point guard. He’s a poor man’s Derrick Rose. Fast but not that fast, shoots shots but he rarely makes them, and doesn’t have that great PG skills and cant really read the game. He’s used to dominating in college where teams couldn’t stop him, he only does it against poor teams (or teams with a weak PG) in the NBA, and he’s the main reason the Wizards suck this year. He is very raw, but that’s always been his game, raw speed and an on/off jumper, so I doubt he gets much better. Trading for him is as useful as trading for Blatche (who also sucks if you didn’y know that). Irving is already a better PG.
SPEAKING OF J.LIN
why can’t Bradley have an offensive repertoir like that.. Bradley has all worldly defense but such a dud offensively
