Bill Simmons explains how special it was watching the Celtics grind one out a W against the Clippers on Monday.

Of course, there’s a chance that some contending GM caught last night’s game, watched what Pierce or Garnett did, and said to himself, "That guy might push me over the top," followed by the Celtics quickly dismantling the Three-Year Plan That Lasted Five Years. And that’s fine. We’ll always have that final minute after the Clippers fans filed out, when it was just the sea of green and a nodding Pierce happily soaking in those "Let’s go Celtics!" chants again. Leave them alone and the 2012 Boston Celtics will go down swinging. That’s all we know, and frankly, that’s good enough for me.
I'm extremely pleased to say that I was one of those Celtic fans chanting 'Let's GOO Celtics' at the Staples Center on that beautiful Monday night. Having never been to a Celtic game outside of Boston, here I was on the complete opposite side of the country feeling right at home alongside fellow Celtic fans and several of my best friends as we celebrated possibly one of the last great moments during this era. There was something in the air that made this scene magical, something that could only be described with Celtic Pride. We all know the situation this franchise is in right now, but those of us who care must truly continue to support this team. More moments like these can certainly arise this season and they need us more now than they ever have before. As we all know the wise words of a man we call KG: 'ANYTHING'S POSSIBLEEEEE'!!!
