The Celtics were supposedly one of the favorites to land Ronny Turiaf, but Woj reports that he's signing with the Heat.

Based on all the rumors, it looks like Danny is leaning towards picking up younger players who will provide more help on the defensive end and on the boards rather than providing something on offense (outside of the occasional fast break finish or offensive rebound put back). It's rare that Doc would not have either KG or Bass on the court at any given time, so signing a few bigs that can protect the paint and run with Rondo makes sense. Remember that whoever gets picked up will be filling in for Jermaine O'Neal (defense) and Chris Wilcox (rebounding and rim running).
