Word is that Mehmet Okur has been waived after being traded to the Blazers in the Gerald Wallace trade. So am I the only one who thinks he could join this veteran squad and contribute? Post some thoughts here.

I know we're in line to sign big man Ryan Hollins to fill Wilcox's roster spot, which is great considering what's left. Now we need to fill O'Neal's spot.

I think Okur would be effective in spurts by spreading the floor with his outside shooting ability. Something we haven't had since the Sheed fail and good old Raef Lafrentz.

Plus, having another veteran on the roster would help us maintain our exceptionally high team age average and, in all seriousness, add some more fuel for this FINAL last hurrah from this team.
