A Celtics/Mavs Trade:

Dallas Trades: Odom & Delonte

Boston trades : Ray & Dooling.

Dallas does this because Lamar Odom clearly does not want anything to do with the Mavericks, and they get a knock down shooter with Ray Allen that any contender would love. The mavs would then be loaded at the 2 spot with: Terry/Carter/Allen. Also getting a veteran backup point guard in Dooling.

Boston does this because you're not going to be bringing in a new guy that needs to learn the plays and defense in Delonte West. As you know Delonte has been in and out of the system for years and can clearly start on any NBA team.(After his injury heals.) You also get a very valuable vet that can play 3 positions at times in Odom. A front line consisting of: Garnett/ Odom/Bass/ WIlcox/Pierce is intriguing to anyone.( Not including JO because he will either be hurt or traded for the $2.50 that he's worth...)

Rays contact expires after the year and if Garnett and Pierce remain in Boston for the rest of the year i could very well see Ray coming back next year to play a significant role of the bench. The NBA is a business and obviously a true professional in Ray Allen understands that. Ray gets a chance to go win another ring in Dallas and can always return like i said. Obviously you might need to throw in money or other players to make it work, But this would be the base of it.
