Emergence of Avery Bradley

Avery Bradley has really made the most of his opportunities ever since Ray Allen has gone down with his ankle injury. Mickael Pietrus was inserted into the starting lineup for one game against the 76ers, before a scary looking injury forced him to miss action.

The next game against the Washington Wizards Bradley got the start. He went on to score a career high 23 points. I knew putting Bradley into the starting lineup over Allen would improve the lineup defensively, but I did not expect Bradley to be productive on the offensive end as well. He has followed up that game with 11, 9, and 17 points in the following three contests.

The Celtics are now 4-0 in games that Bradley has started and have given up just 83 points a game over that span. I am not trying to say they should bench Ray Allen when he is healthy, but I think the Celtics should continue to give Bradley consistent minutes even when Allen and Pietrus return from injury. I know Rondo and Garnett have been playing well recently and that has a great deal to do with the Celtics recent success, but the youngster out of Texas has really provided a spark at both ends of the floor.

The Celtics need to figure out what is best for the team and go with it. I think they can definitely pull off a first round upset with the right matchup with the way they are playing right now.

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.
