3 Team: Allen to Clips/Josh Smith to Celts

Following up on the clippers interest in Allen and Celts rumored interest in Josh Smith: What does everyone think of this trade:

Celtics Trade: Allen and Bass

Hawks Trade: Josh Smith

Clippers Trade: Mo Williams

Celtics Receive: Josh Smith

Hawks Receive: Mo Williams and Brandon Bass

Clippers Receive: Ray Allen

Celtics do this trade to acquire a borderline all star forward who pairs well with rondo on the court and gets along with him off of it..Next year, they bring back jeff green, and have the point guard and forwards in place to be an elite running team.. smith and rondo also have fairly reasonable contracts, so there would still be alot of cap space depending on what happens with pierce..along with their two draft picks..

Also, they give up two players who probably are not in their plans going forward next year.. allen due to his age, and bass because he will likely opt of out his contract and command around 7.5 million a year..he is a bargain at his current salary but his limitations become more glaring as a higher salaried player..

Hawks need to shake up their core.. their two best players are johnson and horford.. horford is more of a natural power forward who often plays center..they get two quality players in williams and bass..

Clippers want allen to fill the starting 2 guard hole.. while williams has played well, foye could serve as a serviceable combo guard off the bench.. plus, williams is due 7.5 next year, and sterling isn't going to want to pay that for a bench guy with having to worry about griffin and paul's impending extensions..

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.
