The Celtics had a heartbreaking loss Sunday night to Atlanta, and could be facing a Rondo-less game 2. Additionally, let us not forget that Ray Allen isn't really a guarantee to play Tuesday night. This game really came down to the starters on both sides, after all, Atlanta only scored 13 bench points themselves. But, more importantly, I think what makes me most concerned about this series are the Celtics are in very serious jeopardy of going down 0-2 before they even get to play a playoff game in Boston. I did not agree with resting the starters against Atlanta back on the game that occured on 4/20 for this very reason. Why couldn't a compromise be reached? That game was so close, even with the 2nd and 3rd units playing, and it's not like the regulars would have to play 35 minutes or anything. I was shocked when something like 85% of fans on CelticsBlog were in favor of sitting out the regulars for the whole game against Atlanta late in the season. And now, the Celtics could be paying the price. I have a video discussion about the game below, if you care to watch. See you Tuesday.
