I'd love to take credit for that headline, but it was adapted from a joke stolen from twitter, sorry.
Amar'e Stoudemire cuts hand punching case - Yahoo! Sports
Amar'e Stoudemire cut his hand while punching a fire extinguisher casing in the New York Knicks' locker room after the team's loss to the Miami Heat Monday night, sources told Yahoo! Sports. Paramedics were immediately called to the Knicks' locker room. Knicks coach Mike Woodson and general manager Glen Grunwald confirmed Stoudemire cut his hand, but didn't say how. Sources told Y! Sports the injury happened when Stoudemire punched the extinguisher case in frustration.
You can't make this up. Suddenly, Rondo's little incident doesn't look quite as bad in comparison. Not that it helps us any. If you aren't following along on twitter, you are missing the needle being pinned on the sarcasm meter.
Update:
Amare in left arm sling leaving arena. No Xrays. Leaving to NY with team. Cut side of left hand. # of stitches not known. No status for GM3
