(SB Nation Boston, Jay King) Rajon Rondo and Kevin Garnett were named to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team on Wednesday, as announced by the league.

Garnett has now been named to either the First or Second Team in 12 of the past 13 years. He was on the First Team last season after being left off both teams entirely following an injury-riddled 2009-10 campaign.

Rondo had been named to the First Team in each of the last two seasons. This is his fourth consecutive season being voted to one of the two teams.

The two Celtics stars were joined on the Second Team by Tyson Chandler, Kobe Bryant and Luol Deng.

The First Team consisted of LeBron James, Dwight Howard, Chris Paul, Tony Allen and Serge Ibaka.

Avery Bradley, widely viewed as one of the league's toughest perimeter defenders, was probably hurt by his lack of playing time in the early season. He finished with one First Team vote and one Second Team vote.

The full voting can be found on NBA.com.
