Doc is the ultimate professional, a hard nosed player, hall of fame coach and a motivational genius. Doc's emotions touched me tonight- his view of the intricacies and politics of the NBA, of millionaire players, billionaire ownerships and the media hype and circus is so much more informed than mine, a casual fan.How easy would it be for him to mouth words and give the media meaningless quotes after the game.

But tonight, at the post game microphone- he was just a fan- caught in the emotion of it all. He looked close to tears when he passed the baton to Rondo.
