Can Bill Russell "save" KG?

Watch the interviews with Russell and KG, pre and post finals. It is obvious the affinity these two have for each other- that transcends their basketball resumes.

Russel- quiet, private- yet outspoken and secure in his own opinions and his own path .Fearsome, yet funny- that piercing, screeching laugh! The ultlmate team player and consumed by winning. Played head games with Chamberlain during their games (I was there- he used to torture Wilt). Not in love with Boston and in a self imposed exile for many years. But always, always a Celtic. Has 152 rings (only kidding...)

Garnett- so much the same- sans the laugh ( but shows some craziness/ humor at the end of home game blow outs- watch the Garnett-Gino clips.) Team, family, a nut job on the floor, leaves it all out there- has a ring.

I think Bill may be able to speak to Kevin about coming back. Not for himself, but to continue the Celtic mystique and mentor the younger players. KG has always worn green- underneath. He just arrived a little late on the bus.

I have no idea what his body and head feel like after 17 years in the league, playing full out every night. I played in HS and college and can still remember how I felt and the end of the season- twenty whole games!

I have no idea what the 300 million dollars means to him- the sum is too big. (I am an "oh god I hope my 401k is big enough" kind of guy.

How much Sport Center can KG watch in retirement? What's left?

Infuse the Celtics with the KG brand of Celtic fire- for another season- and listen to our thanks in the Garden.

C'mon Mr. Russell!

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.
