Ray Moving On

Stay connected for news and updates

Though the Cs can match any Suns' offer for Ray, I believe they won't, and Ray will probably end up in Phoenix. (Heat can't offer enough to assuage Ray's pride, much less to be competitive.)

Thing about Ray is that his game has deteriorated quite a lot since 2008, to the point where he is on the edge of becoming a 1-trick pony. Yes, he was injured in the latter part of 2011-12, but his D was suffering before the injury, as were his numbers overall. And Ray's handles have NEVER been good, not even decent... seriously, the man cannot handle the ball under pressure... he's a turnover MACHINE whenever he tries to do anything PG-like on the court. (But he still keeps trying to drive through traffic, from time to time.)

Ray would fit better on a team that just wants some 3-point shooting, period. Like the Heat. And maybe the Suns. But we need a LOT more from our 2 -- like DEFENSE, and the ability to run with Rondo. Bradley not only runs WITH Rondo, he runs right BY him (sometimes making RR look like he's standing still!). And when it comes to defense... well, no point in restating the obvious.

So I think this is it for Ray. He's moving on. I've always loved the guy, but at this point that's probably gonna be a good thing for both sides.

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.
