Danny Ainges had the opportunity to select Perry Jones and chose Fab Melo !! Now that was a horrible choice and a big mistake on Danny;s part. Fab may have been a decent shot blocking center for Syracuse but he was still a clumsy and horrible rebounder on the college level, with no offnse skills to talk about. The upside to Mel is that maybe he would be a decent player in the D league and honestly who really cares about that. Perry Jones is a talent and a very young talent with a lot of potential, he fast he's quick, he's a leaper, he can dribble the ball very well for his size in fact he dribbles better than Paul Pierce and Ray Allen, he has a decent shot that will get better in time, he could be a very helpfful offensive rebounder, he's the kind of player that Rondo would love to run with more than any current player on the C's roster. He was worth the risk, he should've been the first choice over Sullinger. Jones could've learned so much KG, he and KG would've been great on the floor together. The Fab Melo choice doesn't make any sense, I would take my chances with free agents or the Euro league before i picked Fab. Perry Jones is 6'11 Fab is 7'0. Fab Melo isn't as good nor will be as good as Kwame Brown. Perry Jones would have progressed on this team and would have been the steal of the draft, I would take my chances with him over Sullinger. I would've liked the C's to have chosen both of them. Jeff Green isn't promised to come back to the C's and if he does will he only be as good as he was prior to the operation if so Perry Jones upside is higher and I would still take Jones . Danny lost out on a great choice
