Bench handles defenseless NETS in summer league action 82-73

Joseph played a balanced game, with great effort on defense. Played like he wanted it. This guy looks good. 11pts/5rbs

Moore also, a balanced game hit some nice shots played like he knew how to dribble...passing was a solid "B." 15pts/5rbs

Johnson had a solid game on defense and scored 8pts/3rbs.

Christmas plays like a vet. Fearless. Will die for the ball. Not a bad shooter. 10pts/4rbs

Sullinger 8 points 12 rebounds. This guy is a superb passer. He plays smaller than he is. Not a 280 lb leaper...acts like he's been in the NBA for 6 years. He will be getting lots of minutes this year. Great court presence. Knows where he is. The guards dumped to him with three seconds on the shot clock five or six times. "Go to guy" in summer league...whatever that means.

Fab had 5 rebounds and was serious playing underneath. He also can pass.

The pride of New Mexico State J. Gibson (that is correct I don't know his first name) came in from Turkey and got no assist and 17 points to crush the Nets in the fourth...jacked like 3 or 4 threes in a row....ouch...I don't know if he can pass because he never passed. Who cares we'll take the 17 yo.

By the way what was the over under on PLUS/MINUS for Brooks? Who knows, he was minus 9.

Nets are not a defensive team in summertime or wintertime...hmmmm....balanced in their defenselessness.

C's started:

The Celtics have 5 count'em 5 guards on the summer roster. Lots of smaller guys rushing around. I guess management is hoping one of these guys breaks out huh? Feeling a little thin with Avery getting surgery the other day.

If Joseph plays like he has in the summer, he might get minutes from that skinflint Doc. They have Dionte Christmas starting and playing well. Might be behind Moore now. Plays butt off on D....he's no fool.
