My Croissant in Paris with RONDO!

On Sunday, my wife and I were at the Crossainterie in Paris at the 6th arrondissement. One minute I'm eating a creamed doughnut and drinking espresso when my wife suddenly says to me adamently "Rajon Rondo just walked in". I shrug her off because why the hell would Rondo be in Paris, right? My wife then looks at me square in the eye, grabs my arm and says, "Rajon Rondo is here, turn around now and go talk to him!". I turn around and see Rajon walk right up to the pastry counter. He looked like a kid in a candy store looking at all the delectable treats.

I go up to Rondo and introduce myself and my wife. My wife and I are from Boston so we had to represent C's nation and say "what sup"!

I say "Rondo, my wife and I are huge Celtics fans, great to see you in Paris!". Rondo shakes my hand and says hi to me and my wife and immediately starts asking us questions about the food. "What's good here?" asks Rondo.

After suggesting the Almond Croissants and few other Parisian pastries. I ask Rondo, "so are you excited about the new rookies?". "Yeah, I'm going to Vegas tomorrow to see them play", says Rajon.

I could tell Rondo wasn't interested in "shop talk" but was more interested in getting his "Croissant on" and talking about food and Parisian culture because Rondo immediately asks me, "Do you speak French?". "En peu" says my wife. Rajon goes on to say that his fiancé speaks better than he since she had four years of French.

Anyways, after a few exchanges back and forth, he wishes us "Safe Travels" back to Boston. We as well were leaving the next day. We then watched Rondo order one of each type of Croissant and walk away with his fiancé.

Eiffel Tower, Mona Lisa, the walk down the Champs Elyse, those were all great. But meeting Rajon Rondo at a Croissant place in Paris, now that was the highlight of my trip!!!
