The loss of Ray Allen hurts and it will dominate the airspace until the Heat and the Celtics play. I have much more to say on it, but their is a a gem that will shine brightly out of the sordid mess - Etwan Moore.
This kid can flat out shoot the basketball, has a handle, ability to penetrate, and is flat out fearless. Doc to certain extent was wedded to Ray, Paul, and Kevin, and now his hand has been forced open things up, He has to put on a few pounds of muscle, but there is talent there. Yes, Doc will lean heavily on Jason Terry and perhaps Micheal Pietrus, but if Pietrus is not making shots I think Moore should be given a shot.
I can see a second unit of Sullinger, Green, Pietrus, Terry, and Moore; to go with the starting unit of KG, PP, Bass, Bradley, and Rondo.
A lot of the players deferred to the Big Three and Doc leaned on them to the expense of others development (Tony Allen and Big Baby), but now is the time to open the door for some of the young talent to come through.
I trust Moore will have a great rookie camp and Doc sees fit to carve him out some rotation minutes.
