Losing Ray is the right move.

Hear me out.

Ray Allen was a role player. His best and his only asset is his killer 3 point shot. With his unfortunate ankle injury he lost his starting job to Avery Bradley, to which Bradley proved he was the better started from now on.

Avery Bradley is now a more solid all-around player. He has elite defense. He is lightning quick. He is a phenomenal cutter. He is now starting to develop confidence in his jump shot. He also has developed a sweet corner 3 pointer.

After Ray got his ankle injury, Bradley made it clear that Ray would not be returning to the starting line-up. Even more so when Ray came back and started for that one game.

In all honesty, I would rather have Jason Terry coming off the bench than Ray Allen. Terry has proved to be a successful 6th man off the bench. That's a new position to Ray. Sure, Terry and Ray have a similar game, but Ray just isn't the same player.

It's an unfortunate end with the Celtics, but it's the right move. More minutes for Avery Bradley, Jason Terry, maybe Pietrus, and most importantly...E'Twaun Moore.

It's time to get younger and more athletic. It was time to move on from Ray.

Ray took less money to be a bench player on a championship caliber team.

We won't win another championship with the same Big Three. We need to start making a younger and more athletic team again.

That's what it comes down to.

I love you Ray and best of luck in Miami!

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.
