1991 & 1992 Celtics vs 2012-13 - are we reliving history?

I hope I am wrong but this team has an 1991-92 feel to me. At the time, we had the aging Big 3 mixed with a young All-Star (Lewis) plus other youthful pieces picked up late in the draft (Shaw, Brown, Fox, and free-agent Gamble). Ed Pinckney plays the Jeff Green role i.e. youthful big man acquired in forwarding-looking trade. We thought we had reloaded and had decent records only to get bounced in the 2nd round in '91 (Pistons) and '92 (Cavs).

Ray is already gone but let's throw Terry in the mix is his place. Our Big 3 is older than the 90s one but this version is healthier. Is Rondo now better than Lewis in 1991 and '92? I'd say yes with 1 title and 3 All-Star appearances. Is the current Big 3 better than the prior one at this stage? Is the youth we have now better than the youth we had then overall? Unclear to me. Are we better positioned than we were in 1992 to continue the run?

If we bow out in the 2nd Round over the next two years we will be repeating history. Obviously the Reggie situation made it much, much, worse....

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.
