I guess that tweet was all about joining the cross town rival Clippers and not the sworn enemy Celtics. Phew.

Sam Amick of Sports Illustrated is reporting that once rumored Celtic Matt Barnes is signing with the Los Angeles Clippers, but had news on two other potential free agents: Kenyon Martin and Terrence Williams.

With KMart, you're getting a savvy vet that has a little bit of that KG in him. Last year for the Clippers, he averaged 5.2 points and 4.3 rebounds in 20+ minutes, but it's that little bit of attitude that makes him appealing to me. According to Amick, Martin might hold out until until after the All-Star break to find a contender to join which is in line with the presumed plan of Danny using the BAE at the mid-season mark.

Terrence Williams is a little more of a wildcard (read: upside). After being traded to the Sacramento Kings last season, he played over twenty minutes a game and averaged 8.8 points and 4.1 rebounds. He was a lottery pick out of Louisville in 2009 and could slot in nicely behind Pierce/Green/Bass at the SF/PF positions. My only concern is the stunted potential of Jared Sullinger and even Kris Joseph. I'd rather Danny go with an impact vet like Kenyon Martin in February rather than another project. Amick also mentions Louis Amundson and Anybody have P.J. Brown on speed dial?
