Theory re KG's fatigue; and a plan

The theory for KG goes like this:

- KG has always known that he needs a mid-season break to refresh his old muscles-and-bones, get him back into fighting shape.

- In EVERY FULL YEAR SINCE HE CAME TO BOSTON, KG HAS HAD THAT MID-SEASON BREAK. Think back.... in every year since 07 (excluding the lockout year), KG has taken time off sometime around January, for an injury. (Note: In every one of those 4 years, that injury was unseen, unrecorded, mysterious. Was it a plan to get KG his rest? Or just coincidence 4 years in a row? Idk.)

- This year KG has not had his usual mid-season break. Of course.... it might still happen. We'll see. But the fact that he has not had his rest may be the reason he looks so gassed out there. The facts fit.

Solution?

It's not complicated. Doesn't matter what you think about the 4-year pattern. The bottom line is that BOTH KG AND PP ARE GASSED RIGHT NOW. It's obvious. So they must be rested. Also obvious. Because this goes beyond just KG and PP (as if that weren't enough).... their relative lethargy is probably affecting everyone else on the team too, because they're the leaders, by age and history and talent. So the team needs to do whatever it takes to get KG and PP their rest. Make it happen.

If they're worried about Herr Stern and his Idiot Police... well, then make something up. Those guys need to be rested. Two weeks, or so, should do the trick.

The young guys can carry the team for a while. Let em run with it, Doc. Things cannot get much worse anyway. But KG + PP have GOT to rest and repair. It is what it is.
