The Grizzlies has an identical starting set-up with the C's minus the center and a taller 3.
Scoring options:
1. Gay (SF 6'9") - Pierce (SF 6'7")
2. Z-Bo (PF 6'9") - KG (PF/C 6'11")
3. Conley (PG 6'1") - RR (PG 6'1")
Defensive specialists:
1. Allen (SG 6'4") - AB (SG 6'2")
2. Gay (SF 6'9") - Green???/PP???
But the Grizzlies are more efficient as a team defensively and offensively - even without a legitimate 3-pt threat. Their current roster don't spread the floor, but their points spread are pretty even -
| Rebounds | |||||||||||||
| Player | MPG | FG% | 3P% | FT% | OFF | DEF | TOT | APG | SPG | BPG | TO | PF | PPG |
| Gay | 36.9 | 0.41 | 0.31 | 0.78 | 1.3 | 4.6 | 6 | 2.5 | 1.36 | 0.74 | 2.49 | 2.13 | 17.3 |
| Z-Bo | 35.1 | 0.48 | 0.13 | 0.75 | 4.3 | 7.3 | 11.6 | 1.4 | 0.85 | 0.46 | 2.05 | 2.28 | 16.1 |
| Conley | 34.3 | 0.42 | 0.37 | 0.83 | 0.6 | 2 | 2.5 | 5.9 | 2.35 | 0.28 | 2.52 | 2 | 13.3 |
| Gasol | 34.2 | 0.48 | 0 | 0.88 | 2.4 | 5 | 7.4 | 3.5 | 0.98 | 1.83 | 1.73 | 3.17 | 13.2 |
| Allen | 27.2 | 0.43 | 0 | 0.75 | 1.4 | 2.7 | 4.1 | 1.2 | 1.71 | 0.58 | 1.05 | 2.58 | 8.3 |
and pour in consistently from their defensive tenacity, hustle plays and reliable 1-2-3 punch scoring options at Gay to Z-Bo to Conley/Gasol.
So what are the C's missing?
