Celtics get- Josh Smith, Gortat
Suns get- Zaza Pachulia, either Jason Terry or Courtney Lee, and 1st rounder
Hawks get- Paul Pierce and Bass
By getting Pierce Hawks increased there chances to go deeper in the playoffs adding a experienced veteran to their team, and also still gives them a chance to take a run at Dwight Howard in free agency if Paul Pierce retires or chooses to sign with another team. Plus Atlanta hasn't been seeing eye to eye with Smith anyways. You also can't forget about the effect that Bass will bring to the table. A quiet solid player that can add some offense is definitely a plus.
Suns get a good big player that can come off the bench and play hard for the team getting rebounds and making it hard for the opposition to score in the paint. And get a good shooter whether they want a veteran with more miles on him or a longer term player that can play good on ball defense. Also a piece to start the building process for the future.
The Celtics can get a exciting PF that would be a good piece to the puzzle when we get Rajon Rondo back next year. Rondo and Smith already have chemistry and in my opinion could be the best PG to big man duo we have seen in the rondo era. Gortat would also be great for defense and rebounding.
Next years depth chart
PG Rajon
SG Avery Bradley, (JT, or Courtney Lee)
SF Jeff Green,
PF Josh Smith, Sully
C Kevin Garnett, Gortat
We would need to add some solid shooters in the offseason perhaps Mo Williams, JJ Redick, or Martell Webster
Let me know what you think?
