Its very well known around the league that Omer Asik wants out of Houston. Its also very apparent that the Detroit Pistons are performing well below expectations, after their so called "big" offseason signings. Both teams are trying to win now, and neither honestly look like they can get the job done. Now most would think that Houston and Detroit could settle this with a trade between themselves, but I see a way the Celtics might be able to weasel their way in, and actually get 1 or 2 good pieces.
Here’s the trade:

Teams involved: Celtics, Pistons, Rockets
Celtics
Trading: Brandon Bass, Courtney Lee, Gerald Wallace
Receiving: Omer Asik, Charlie Villinueva, Rodney Stuckey
Pistons
Trading: Greg Monroe, Charlie Villinueva, Rodney Stuckey
Receiving: Brandon Bass, Courtney Lee, Gerald Wallace
Rockets
Trading: Omer Asik
Receiving: Greg Monroe
The reason I see this as a good trade for the Celtics is because, it not only gives us a good starting center in Asik, but we also get a pretty good point guard in Stuckey. And the icing on the cake… Gerald Wallace and his voluptuous contract might actually leave Boston. The only question in my opinion about this trade is if Detroit will trade Moose. I know there have been rumors that they been looking to trade him, but regardless I think this is a plausible trade. (Most likely will have to throw a draft pick or two Detroit’s way)
